Fire Retardant
Fire retardant cables are designed to resist combustion and limit the propagation of flames. Low smokes cables have an insulation designed to limit the amount of smoke and toxic halogen gases given off during fire situations.
During a fire, the cable maintains its operating capacity, thanks to the non-flammable and low smoke insulating material over copper conductors. In addition, fire-retardant cables generate only a small amount of smoke and do not spread fires.
Fire-retardant cables are particularly intended for installations where, for the sake of safety, it is required that alarm, control, signal and energy supply systems continue to operate in case of a fire.
